Ethics and the Consumer
Description
Who doesn't appreciate a bargain? Still, when a brand-new T-shirt costs a ridiculously low price, it may be time to start asking oneself some questions - like who made this product, and under what conditions, and at what cost to the environment? This program takes a close look at the issue of ethical consumerism: what it means to be a global consumer, the role of the consumer in sustaining the planet's future, looking for fair trade goods, and exercising the power of ethical choice.
