Description
Complex and dangerous, eating disorders have deep physical, psychological, and emotional roots. In this program, teens of both sexes discuss eating disorders and how to cope with them. Subjects covered include why appearance is important; the difference between anorexia and bulimia; why eating disorders are dangerous; what to do if one suspects an eating disorder; why diet pills and fads are dangerous; good nutrition for teens; and where to turn for help with eating disorders. Correlates to all applicable National and State Educational Standards including the NCLB Act.
