Description
Thanks in part to high-tech advances that enable the creation of virtually any image, design is one of the most exciting fields to enter in the 21st century. This program looks at ways in which designers collect and organize information using digital technology and how these methods are helping to evolve new forms and strategies in the design world. Specific topics include basic principles of good design, the importance of understanding the viewer or audience, the purpose of the design task, evaluation and testing of products, and other aspects of design in practice. Interviews feature a working graphic designer as well as students and staff at a graphic design school.
