Viewers meet molecular biologists Elizabeth H. Blackburn, Carol W. Greider, and Jack W. Szostak; biochemists Ada E. Yonath, Thomas A. Steitz, and Venkatraman Ramakrishnan; physicists George E. Smith and Willard S. Boyle; political scientist and economic theorist Elinor Ostrom; and microeconomist Oliver E. Williamson. Practical applications for science research are a major topic.
