Bill Moyers Journal
Description
Two years after Hurricane Katrina, tens of thousands of people in Mississippi are still displaced, in limbo, with no solution in sight. This edition of Bill Moyers Journal profiles the Steps Coalition, a group fighting on behalf of those still in need of housing. In addition, the Journal continues to probe the FCC's proposed plan to loosen media ownership. Also on the program, the University of Florida's Manuel A. Vásquez sheds light on a growing sense of transnationalism among immigrant populations. "Today's immigrants are able to have dual loyalties," he says.
