British Worker Details His Experience of the Great Depression ca.1933
Description
Following World War I, economic uncertainty and widespread fluctuation in the value of world currencies led to a sustained worldwide economic downturn known as the Great Depression. In 1933, delegates from 66 countries gathered in England for the London Economic Conference in hopes of stabilizing the world economy. This conference ended with no clear resolution, and many nations continued to suffer from economic failures until the start of World War II.
