The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) was one of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's "alphabet soup" agencies, created early in his first administration as part of the New Deal. From 1933 until 1942, the CCC provided thousands of unemployed young men with jobs, which were difficult to find during the Great Depression.
