Alvaro Cunqueiro. Days of a storyteller
Description
Alvaro Cunqueiro is regarded as the undisputed master of Galician literature and the only Spanish writer to achieve recognition beyond the linguistic boundaries of Galicia. He was an extremely versatile author, trying virtually every genre-from medieval cantigas to literatura fantastica. This program uses a variety of interviews with Cunqueiro, archival footage, and the reminiscences of fellow writers and friends as vehicles for understanding the author's own particular brand of humor and subtle lyricism. His tales of magical universes and of memory, myth, and legend rank among the richest in Spanish literature.
