The Cunning Little Vixen (2003)
Description
A specially animated version of Leos Janácek's much-loved and powerful opera, transforming this stage classic into a screen sensation. Janácek's opera tells a very human story through animal characters. A vixen cub and her mother returning home to the forest cross paths with the Forester, also returning home, and all their lives are changed forever. Stanislav Lolek's drawings in the original 1920s newspaper strip, which inspired Janácek to write the opera, provide the basis for the visual style of this version.
