James Naughtieintroduces the celebrations live from the Royal Albert Hall as the world's greatest music festival reaches the grand finale of its 102nd anniversary year. Opera singer Anne Evans, pianist Wayne Marshalland guitarist John Williamsare the star soloists in a program which includes popular favorites by Gershwin, Gustav Holst, as well as a performance of "Leise Leise" fromDer Freischutz. Both at the Royal Albert Hall and in Hyde Park, Proms in the Park audiences join togetherforthe traditional climax of Rule Britannia, Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem. The BBC Symphony Orchestra and Chorus and the BBC Singers are conducted by Andrew Davis.
