The Endangered Teacher
Description
Educators around the country are leaving their field because of inadequate salaries, working conditions, and budget cuts. Is the future of the teaching profession as we know it today at risk? What can be done to attract and keep excellent teachers in our schools? This program explores the role of the teacher in our society today with Keith Geiger, President of the National Education Association; Tracy Seckler, a schoolteacher; and Joe Nathan, Director of the Center for School Change at the University of Minnesota.
