Journalist on the Spot. Fragile bodies, strong minds. China Dolls
Description
The story features two families with members suffering from Brittle Bone Disease in Shandong and Hebei in China. This was both a physically and mentally challenged trip for the production crew. It was shocking to reveal the survival status of children with rare diseases in the most remote areas of China, yet heart-quaking to realize that they resign to fate and are longing for love. What are hidden within their fragile glass-like bodies? Depression and sorrow that no ordinary people can imagine, or dreams for the future that have been buried deep? Are their hearts as fragile as glass, or as clear as crystal? "China Dolls" portrayed the children who are struggling to build a reality out of their fragile dreams.
