A future without oil
Description
When the president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, announces in 2007 that he will not exploit its Amazonian oil fields against financial compensations on industrialized countries, he takes on a very bold challenge. The challenge - to convince them that the safeguard of nature is worth more than petroleum extraction. The film tells the three-year story of Correa's team as they try to convince the international community that both north and south would gain to support this post-petroleum-era sustainable development model.
