Rapid Ultrasound for Shock and Hypotension
Description
At the completion of the program the participant should be able to: 1. State an algorithm for assessing causes of hypotension using bedside ultrasound. 2. Identify normal and abnormal ultrasound appearance of the lungs, heart, inferior vena cava, aorta, and peritoneal space. 3. Identify scenarios where rapid bedside diagnosis of life-threatening pathology can change management in the acutely decompensating patient.
