Description
Operation Lancaster took place in August 2006. The objective of the inter-army exercise was to strengthen Canada’s sovereignty on the east and north coasts of Baffin Island. Various military operations have been held throughout the Canadian Far North over the course of recent years. After more than 20 years of inactivity, Canada is more than ever ready to affirm its sovereignty over its Arctic interior waters.
