Day the earth moved

Description

In 1996, the residents of twin towns on the NSW/Victoria borders were shocked when farmland and meadows along their major river were flooded all the way into the neighbouring state of South Australia. But this wasn't a flood caused by heavy rains. Rather it was a protective measure to save a 60 year-old dam that had developed a structural fault. Farmers were furious and the media capitalised on the situation. But underneath this crisis is the story of the dam itself.
