Free flight for ants

Description

Researchers at the University of Wellington have captured some extraordinary behavior of the common wasp Vespula vulgaris and its interactions with the New Zealand native ant, Prolasius advenus. The invasive wasps prefer to give ant competitors a free flight rather than fight over food.
