They are the largest spiders on earth and most of us live in fear of them, a primordial terror that is paralyzing for some. But what is it about them that terrify us so much? Should we really be so scared? To find out, National Geographic joins tarantula expert Rick West in the jungles of French Guyana as he searches for new tarantula species.
