Ashdown Forest Cleanup- Ashdown Forest is under threat from bracken (type of fern). Kew Royal Botanic Gardens brought in heavy weapons to battle the bracken. Lolly Viking Boat- Rob McDonald has been building a 50 feet Viking ship by using millions of recycled ice cream sticks. Stonehenge Tunnel- A public inquiry is underway into plans to redevelop and protect the Neolithic stone circle of Stonehenge and its surrounding tombs and earthworks. Great Barrier Reef- The reef is under threat from damaging fishing practices. There is protection programme in force to develop measures for long term conservation and management of priority wetlands. Radioactive Waste Report- A report by the committee on radioactive waste management studied examples of underground disposal in Finland and Sweden. Chimps- World famous activist for animal rights, primatologist Jane Goodall visited China to press for greater respect for treatment of animals.
