In this episode, we look at the people of the Chinese diaspora exerting and expanding their spheres of influence in different parts of the world – an activist in the U.S. who started with a simple desire to document the Asian Americans’ participation in society, and who is being honored by the government with a day named after him; a Thai-Chinese who banks on, and markets her ethnic roots to secure a place for the Chinese in Thai society; and an Indonesian Chinese who set up a multi-religious school to encourage understanding and integration of his people.
