Description
On 24th November 2000, Sony launched its PlayStation 2 games console in Britain. Meantime, Microsoft's rival X-Box machine is due for launch in 2001. The games industry worldwide is now worth £14 billion, and could double within five years. The Money Programme follows Sony executive Alan Welsman, frantically preparing for the vital launch. In Seattle, Microsoft's Jay Allard reveals the secrets of the X-Box. And leading British games designer Martin Kenright races against time to complete a driving game, which, he hopes, will steer him to a fortune.
