The Clarence Thomas affair
Description
A year after Anita Hill's congressional committee testimony in which she accused then Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas of unethical sexual behavior, differences of opinion concerning the televised hearings continue in the Black community. Opposing viewpoints range from those who feel that Black America's image has been tarnished forever to those who see Anita Hill as a symbol of Black women's rights and the battle against sexual harassment. What effect--if any--did this controversy have on the African-American community? A panel of professionals examine this issue in a special roundtable discussion with Tony Brown.
