The 6 days struggle at the Myong Dong Cathedral
Description
What started off as a student rally on June 10, 1987, soon became a widespread call for democracy by the people of South Korea. Fathers and nuns from the Myong Dong Cathedral came to be part of the cause, when the church intervened to have rally detainees released. Over the course of six days, the general public also supported the demonstrators by giving them food, cigarettes and monetary donations. Interspersed with archival footage, are interviews with the demonstrators, held ten years after the rally. Awards/Festivals: Woonpa Award/PIFF Mecenat Award, Pusan International Film Festival; Focus On - Korean Retrospective, 11th Jeonju International Film Festival.
