Quiet flows the river Chitra
Description
In 1947, following the partition of India, Pakistan was formed. In East Pakistan (now Bangladesh), millions of Hindu families were forced to choose between living under Islamic rule, or abandoning the land, which their ancestors had been living in for centuries. Together with his daughter, Minoti and his sister, Anuprava Devi, they continue to live in their hometown of Narail, by their beloved River Chitra. However, the riots and demonstrations of the sixties end up changing the course of their lives forever.
