Description

When Master Papo brings his new young bride home to his logging camp, a love story begins to unfold. Not with the old man and his wife, but with his nephew, Sangmong, and Yupadee, the bride. They are drawn to each other, but it is she who woos him as a lover. The two begin an illicit affair that even Master Papo's main assistant notices, as well as the helpers in Master Papo's home. Sangmong and Yupadee confess undying love for each other and a desire to be together forever. When the two are discovered by Papo in their love hideaway, the old man 'grants' their wish and handcuffs them together to teach them a lesson. Papo refuses to release them, wanting to carry out the full measure of his plan to punish them. But things turn ugly and then tragic when all lose their endurance and patience, when forgiveness is impossible. This film was shot by legendary Thai director Ratana Pestonjee.
