Let me die

Description

Dying is something we normally avoid thinking about. But when living comes to mean wasting away, losing all autonomy, seeing one's very identity eroded, death may be a welcome deliverance. What options does society permit? Living wills, heroic medical intervention, passive euthanasia--are these choices enough for someone in severe pain whose death is imminent? Critically ill people courageously speak about quality of life and their wish to die with dignity.
