Connect. Episode 20
Description
For many people, it's difficult to talk about when to stop driving. A study by the Swedish Road and Transport Research Institute compared older and younger drivers in order to develop new technologies that will assist older drivers to focus their attention and improve their reaction times. Surgeons in the UK have unveiled a new and less invasive type of heart surgery. The new procedure allows doctors to target problem areas in the heart, through a small incision in the patient's groin. Keyhole surgery has made it possible to work on parts of the heart that previously required major surgery.
