Connect. Episode 7

Description

A mini computer linked to GPS is providing tourists in Berlin with a guided tour of the city. Combined with picture and audio files is a lesson in history, taking visitors back to turbulent events in the city, during the time when Berlin was divided. Little remains of the Berlin Wall, but the GPS shows exactly the place where it once stood. Also on Connect, we look at wind turbines produce greener energy, and how the bio-fuel of the future will come from energy-dense wheat crops. Meanwhile, medical researchers from the Genetic Eye Foundation are developing a Bionic Eye that can help severely blind people navigate around large objects.
