The Antiquity of Exercise and the Exercise Prescription for Health provides a historical overview of the evolution of medical history and the role of exercise in that development. The DVD initially looks at the time period that began with the modern migration of Homo sapiens that included the formation of hunter-gatherer groups that led to the establishment of river civilizations and ended with the death of Claudius Galenus (Galen) in 200 AD. The DVD concludes by exploring the contributions of Athens and Rome, primarily Hippocrates and Galen.
