Every parent's nightmare
Description
Julie Nicholson's 24-year-old daughter, Jenny, was one of 52 people killed in the London bombings of 7 July, 2005. Since then, Julie has been unable to return to work - a fact which made front page news, and attracted worldwide media attention. Why? Because Julie is a priest who feels unable to forgive the suicide bomber who killed her daughter. She hasn't lost her vocation or her faith, but she isn't willing to preach forgiveness to others while she remains unwilling to practise it herself. Every Parent's Nightmare is a searingly powerful film, following Julie's emotional and religious journey as she attempts to make sense of her grief and loss. The journey begins at the scene of Julie's daughter's murder, Edgware Road station, and proceeds with a series of moving encounters with other parents who, like Julie, have experienced the suffering or loss of a child.
