Connecting with the arts. How do we collaborate? A workshop for middle grades teachers

Description

In this program, we're going to look at three types of collaborations, we'll discuss the benefits and challenges of each one. We saw a part of project in our last program that involved a language arts teacher and visual art teacher. They ask eighth graders to show their understanding of a novel by creating place setting that reflected the inner journeys of the characters. We're going to look now how the two teachers work together to plan and teach the unit.
