Sok Sarren fought for the Khmer Republic against the Khmer Rouge and Viet Cong in Cambodia. He describes the conditions and fighting in Neak Leung in detail. He recalls the fear and inexperience of his Cambodian troops. He describes American air support bombing the wrong targets at Neak Leung, and recounts the extreme measures some would resort to in order to overcome starvation.
