Description
The challenge of teaching literacy to children at Malorees Infants where 61% of the children learn English as an Additional Language, shot in an observational style and featuring children, teaching assistants and trainee teachers supporting children in and out of KS1 classes. Trained Teaching Assistants manage the 'Talking Partners' intervention programme aimed at developing listening and speaking, and reading and writing skills so that children can be reintegrated into mainstream teaching. The programme will be useful to the support staff, trainee teachers and managers involved in the delivery of literacy at Key Stage One.
