Literacy - the whole story. KS1 leaders. 1
Description
The challenge of teaching literacy at Malorees Infants, where 61% of the children learn English as an Additional Language, shot in an observational style and featuring the senior leadership team, teachers and teaching assistants. The programme examines how strategic decisions about downsizing, managing interventions, and the training of staff and parents contribute to the effective teaching and learning of literacy. The size of the school and financial constraints play a major part in these strategic decisions alongside effective tracking and monitoring, and assessment. The programme will be useful for leaders and managers involved in delivering literacy at KS1.
