KS3 History. McCarthy trials. 5
Description
The McCarthy Trials were a controversial time in US history. This programme, presented by historian and teacher Ben Walsh, uses footage from the North American Records Administration to re-tell the story of when America, gripped by a paranoid fear of communism, began to turn against itself. The programme is a valuable resource not only for teaching about 1950's America but also for learning about how to use and learn from archive film.
