Treating the child with total body involvement
Description
This seminar presents assessment and treatment issues for children with total body involvement. Issues of hypotonia, dynamic tightness, and dystonia are discussed and treatment strategies are provided. Specific handling techniques are demonstrated to decrease dynamic tightness and gain mobility and elongation of various muscle groups, including the shoulder girdle, trunk, upper and lower extremities. Treatment demonstrations with children who have dynamic tightness and dystonia are presented.
