Park lodge

Description

Bear Mountain State Park, just north of New York City, is home to one of the first examples of monumental rustic park architecture. Built in 1915 and based on the style of the Adirondack great camps made famous by 19th century industrialists, Bear Mountain Inn was sorely in need of a major restoration. This video examines the 75,000 square foot inn from the slate roof down to the new eco-friendly HVAC system.
