Am I stressed?
Description
The wife and children of Gary Lewis, headteacher of Kings Langley School in Hertfordshire, are well aware of the pressures Gary faces in being a head. But Gary feels that, five years into the job, he's coping well with the stresses and strains and anticipates a spring term with the usual highs and lows. But the term turns out to be more momentous for him than he'd thought. There are the unexpected problems to deal with, the tricky decisions to make, the mountain of paperwork and the long hours, but it's an assembly he prepares about stress for his Year 11s facing GCSEs which triggers a watershed moment.
