Resolving conflict
Description
A programme for use in the classroom with students. Misunderstandings and arguments in childhood and adulthood can obviously cover a vast emotional spectrum, but seemingly trivial conflicts will often alter the emotional well-being of a child for an entire school day or longer. This programme explores various ways that young people can help each other towards resolving conflicts. From a buddy scheme, where Emma and Kirsty share a similar painful past experience, to street-wise London teenagers who are part of a growing network of Peer Mediators. Peer Mediation is increasingly recognised as one of the most effective conflict resolution strategies available to young people.
