Save money. Savings on capital spending. 1
Description
Bruce Doy casts a slightly different eye over some of the assets that his school enjoys. For him, the school swimming pool is more of a hindrance than a help as it emits so much heat through the roof. By replacing the roof he hopes to save up to £2000 per year on his heating bills alone. Bruce has saved a lot of money on building projects since he has been at the school. In this programme we'll see how he managed to save up to £100,000 on the refurbishment of the theatre, by allowing the caretakers to take on more of the workload and save on outside contractors. He has applied this model to a number of different building projects throughout the school, and by doing this he saves money every time.
