STEM subject choice and careers. Information advice and guidance. 1
Description
At Collingwood College in Camberley, science teacher Angalika Newton is eager to introduce her students to careers in science. She works with head of careers Lorette Parker to plan a lesson to introduce the sorts of jobs that science can lead to. They are looking to introduce a range of techniques into the classroom to equip the students with the information they need to make informed choices. These include: bringing outside visitors into the school, peer-to-peer learning conversations, one-to-one learning conversations, and consolidating their ideas in the form of a careers map.
