Arts Management
New interdisciplinary major for professionals in arts
organization.
2002: A new faculty member was appointed in the art
department with expertise in arts management.
2003: The person hired to help with this program resigned. Preliminary authorization was given to recruit two faculty members (art and theatre departments) with similar expertise in arts management. The design phase of this program continues. Status: Discontinued
Competitive Manufacturing Through Technology Management
Joint project with UW-Stout and the Fox Valley Technical College to assist in solving technology and information management problems.
2002: An advisory committee comprised of a diverse group of manufacturers was created to support manufacturing in northeastern Wisconsin. No direct progress was made on the associated joint certificate and degree programs due to lack of state and federal funding.
2003: Funding was requested through state elected officials. Three advisory board meetings were held, but the Northeast Wisconsin Manufacturing Advisory Board will not meet until there are more activities. The state, in cooperation with this partnership, has developed a plan to assist manufacturers. Fox Valley Technical College joined the partnership. Status: Discontinued
