Meet the SSS Staff

Nancy Harrison serves as the Director of the UW Oshkosh SSS program.  Working with students is the highlight of her job, but a great deal of her time is spent conducting administrative tasks to assure SSS remains at UW Oshkosh.  Prior to joining the SSS family at UW Oshkosh, she started and oversaw the Upward Bound program at UW Manitowoc and UW Sheboygan. Upward Bound is a related TRiO  program that is for secondary students (precollege).  She has been affiliated with the TRiO programs since 1990.

Frank Holmes is an Alum of UW-Oshkosh who graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Human Services in 1994 and Masters in Counseling in 2000.  His current role in Student Support Services is an Academic Advisor in Business, Kinesiology, Athletic training, Criminal Justice and Undecided.  Frank also helps with career advising, the job search and maintaining relationships with the SSS Alumni.  In his spare time he enjoys reading, working in his yard, and spending time with his wife and their children, Frank and Melia and their dog Tyson.

Mehgan Clark advises students in the College of Letters and Sciences. She loves helping students explore how to combine their interests and talents.  She believes in finding a career that involves learning about what you love.  As a graduate student she took her love of animals and her interest in music and combined them to study the sounds that seals make underwater.  Mehgan is also the coordinator of the STEM and Global Citizens Learning Communities for first year students.

Jenny Woelfel advises students in the College of Education and Human Services, College of Nursing and Social Work.  She enjoys being a resource and guide to students on campus to aide in their educational success and finding a career they are passionate about. Jenny is also the coordinator of the SSS Learning Groups for first year students. She is a UW-Oshkosh Alumna who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology.  She earned her Master’s degree in counseling from Lakeland College.  Prior to working with SSS, Jenny worked with Upward Bound, another TRiO program. She is happy to be a part of the UW Oshkosh community once again.

Sarah provides program support to the SSS staff and can assist students in setting up appointments with advisers, signing up for academic and cultural enrichment activities, referrals to campus services, etc.  Sarah is a 2005 alumna of UW Oshkosh with a bachelor's degree in anthropology and history.

 

Emmy Marvin, Co-Advisor/ Success Coach

Emmy Marvin is a new addition to the SSS Staff. She is working with Mehgan Clark as a Co-Advisor and Success Coach for incoming freshman and students in the College of Letters and Science. Emmy earned her undergraduate degree in Human Services Leadership from UW Oshkosh. She is also an alumna of the UW Oshkosh SSS program. Emmy is currently pursuing her graduate degree in Professional Counseling, with an emphasis in School Counseling. She aspires to use this training to counsel at the high school level.
