Campus Resource Ambassadors (CRAm)

A Peer Mentoring Program

What is it?

The CRAm program is a peer mentoring program for SSS students.  This program pairs up students who are familiar with campus and its resources (Ambassadors) with a new student to campus or a returning student in need of positive peer influence.  Ambassadors have the opportunity to make a difference in a peer’s life while improving essential life skills such as interpersonal communication abilities and leadership capabilities while building confidence and their resume.

How do I become an Ambassador?

Ambassadors are recruited every spring and must complete an application, meet with the coordinator, and attend regular training.  Contact the coordinator for more info.  Applications are available in the SSS office and here

How do I get an Ambassador?

Participants are selected by application during the spring semester, Odyssey (orientation), or during SSS orientation (fall).  Participants are then matched during a CRAm orientation event the second week of fall semester.  The application is critical for determining an appropriate Ambassador.  Interested?  Make sure you talk to an SSS advisor before the second week of Fall Semester 2008!
