Quin Sullivan
Information about Dr. Quin Sullivan.

For about the last 20 years, Dr. Sullivan's primary teaching interest has always been research methods. His research agenda has focused primarily on program evaluation in the child welfare area, presenting to national and international audiences, receiving several competitive grants, preparing numerous scholarly reports, and publishing several articles and other publications.
In recent years his interest in academic administration (and more specifically program development, administration, and evaluation) has led to a developing research agenda in this area. Two papers were developed over the last year and presented at a national conference. One of those papers has been submitted for publication and the other is in progress. The first is entitled, Building a collaborative MSW on the foundation of two existing BSW programs and the second is, Program assessment and continuous improvement: Crafting a critical culture.
For many years his interest in poverty led him to explore programs targeted at low income adolescents which aim to prevent welfare dependence. Since about 1994 he focused on employment training programs for disadvantaged youth through his work with evaluations of the Youth Employment and Training Initiative (a welfare initiative approved by the Administration for Children and Families of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) and the YouthBuild program. While focusing primarily on program evaluation, his research has demonstrated a broader interest in research methodology as he has collaborated with numerous colleagues, graduate and undergraduate students and utlized a variety of research methodologies in diverse substantive areas.
