SOCIAL WORKER – INTENSIVE CPS ON-GOING-Winnebago County

DEPARTMENT:   HUMAN SERVICES – CPS ONGOING OSHKOSH/NEENAH
Salary:  $21.68-$28.14/HR.

POSITION PURPOSE:
This position provides  intensive assessment, counseling and case management services to a concentrated number of families whose children are unsafe, or are at risk of child abuse and/or neglect.  It provides intervention in times of crisis  thorough assessment of family dynamics, conditions and needs, assists family in problem-solving and case-planning, makes use of teaming and  facilitates referrals as needed; guides family in development of informal supports and provides ongoing case management and follow up.  The goal of the program is family preservation through family-involved assessment and decision-making, provided promptly after initial referral and with minimal court intervention.

Duties:  La Crosse County Human Services Dept. has vacancy to provide social work services to Child Protective Services for abused/neglected children and on-going caseload management.  Requirements: Experience working with families where abuse or neglect has occurred.
