Stephanie
Kissel, BS in Social Work (University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh), MSW (University
of Wisconsin-Milwaukee) National Association of Social Workers and ACSW
(Academy of Certified Social Workers), CAPSW (Certified Advanced Practice
Social Worker-Wisconsin), Fellow WSOTN (Wisconsin Sex Offender Treatment
Network), and ATSA (Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers).
Professor
Kissel joined the Department as a full time academic staff instructor
in 1999 but previously taught part time for both Criminal Justice and
Social Work. The social work courses she has taught include interpersonal
skills, human behavior, practice, interviewing skills and the introductory
course in social work. Her areas of special interest are corrections,
sexual abuse and sexual offenders, domestic abuse, mental health, families
and children. She serves as a member of the Fox Cities Sexual Abuse
Task Force-Outagamie County and is a member of the Alliance for the
Mentally Ill. For the past 10 years she has served as community volunteer
with a support group for Families of Incarcerated. She has been a member
of the Fox Cities Sexual Abuse Task Force since 1997 and also serves
on the Faith Lutheran Church, Board of Human Care.
