Donna Altepeter
Donna Ruzicka Altepeter,
BA in Theology (St. Louis University) and MSW (St. Louis University),
CICSW (Certified Independent Clinical Social Worker-Wisconsin), member
of NASW and ACSW (Academy of Certified Social Workers).
Since fall 1991,
Donna has taught classes on both a full time and part time basis. She
holds an academic instructional staff position. She has taught Introduction
to Social Work, Interpersonal Skills, Family Life Cycles and Transitions,
Research, Human Behavior, Practice and Practice Lab, Group Work, Policy
and Social Welfare Institutions courses. She also developed the Social
Justice and Social Work course which has served as a TBIS course since
2001. Donna also serves as an advisor to the students in the major.
Her interests in the field include spiritual development, health and
social work and severe mental illness. In 2005, Donna was selected for
the Distinguished Teaching Award.
Her current community
service interests include participating on the Hiwela Grants Committee
for the Oshkosh Community Foundation and the Committee on Aging for
the City of Oshkosh. She has previously served as chair of the Health/Wellness
Committee at St. Peter's Parish and the board for Siena Apartments,
transitional housing for families affected by domestic abuse. She remains
active as a volunteer for the Unified Catholic Schools and St. Peter's
Parish of Oshkosh.
