Families and friends filled Kolf Sports Center Saturday, May 14 as more than 1,400 University of Wisconsin Oshkosh graduates were honored and received degrees. UW Oshkosh hosted its 137th Commencement ceremonies to cheers, hugs and a backdrop of flowers, balloons and applause as graduates participated in morning and afternoon ceremonies in Kolf’s main fieldhouse. The ceremonies included a spotlight on the 50th Anniversary, Golden Titan class of 1961. Honorary doctorates were bestowed upon former UW Oshkosh Chancellor Edward M. Penson and UW Oshkosh journalism alumnus and POLITICO nonpartisan news and politics website co-founder James VandeHei, ’94. Photo by Jason Toney
