Groundbreaking for nation’s first dry anaerobic biodigester

University of Wisconsin Oshkosh administrators, staff, students, faculty and friends as well as representatives of BIOFerm Energy Systems and Boldt Construction gather for a groundbreaking ceremony for the nation’s first commercial-scale dry fermentation anaerobic biodigester Sept. 15 at 755 Dempsey Trail. The renewable energy facility will include heat and power generators, which will produce up to 10 percent of the campus’s electricity and heat.
